To our Riders,
Thank you for your interest in Pacific Transit System.
We learned a lot from the summer pilot project, and we listened to your feedback. We understand the past few months have been difficult for some of you and thank you for your patience as we bring Pacific Transit System up to date.
As you see from the new schedule, we are implementing the changes that you indicated were most important. From service to Oysterville to resuming the South Bend-Bay Center-Naselle-Ilwaco route, we have responded to your requests.
A few things to note:
- Our Dial A Ride service, WHICH IS OPEN TO EVERYONE IN PACIFIC COUNTY, is more flexible and goes to more destinations, including Tokeland and Aberdeen;
- We spent the summer hiring more drivers. This allows us to operate the system at full capacity.
- New vehicles are being delivered and older vehicles are being replaced. This means more reliable service for you and lower costs for Pacific Transit.
- We’re utilizing smaller, more efficient vehicles to save money and ensure economic success into the future.
