How to Qualify

 ADA certified / disabled.

Be a senior 65 years or older.

Reside more than ¼ of a mile from a fixed route. Dial A Ride can take you to the nearest bus stop.
Individual case by case enhanced service will be provided to disabled/ADA and seniors when needed.

ADA Certified passengers have first priority over non-ADA Dial-A-Ride reservations. They can bump a non-ADA passenger’s reserved pick-up time, up to the day before of travel. The bumped passenger will be notified of the change no less than the day before of their reserved time.

Reserving a ride

Reservations are required to be made at least one day before the passenger plans to travel. No same-day scheduling. Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.

Remember to schedule your return trip and specify what time you’d like to return.

The Driver will wait only 5 minutes starting from time of arrival. If you do not ride, it will count as a “no show.”

**PLEASE NOTE**

ADA Certified passengers (Pacific Paratransit) have first priority over non-ADA Dial-A-Ride reservations. Non-ADA riders may be bumped in order to accommodate disabled passengers. Drivers will notify bumped passengers no less than the day prior to their reserved ride.

Tips for scheduling

Cancellation of Reserved Rides

If you must cancel your trip, you must call the office no later than one hour prior to your scheduled pick-up time.

Intermittent Stops

If you plan intermittent stops during your travel, you must have advance reservations for drop off and pick-up times. Drivers will not wait for passengers at intermittent stops. Stops must be scheduled at least 30 minutes apart. Times are based on availability.

ADA Paratransit Services

Previously, Pacific Transit often provided Dial-a-Ride and ADA transportation throughout a much broader geographic area, including destinations outside the ADA-required service area. As part of Pacific Transit’s ADA Corrective Action Plan dated April 30, 2026, the agency has separated these services to ensure ADA riders receive the protections and service standards guaranteed under federal law.
Although both services use accessible vehicles and may look similar, they serve different purposes.

Pacific Paratransit is a federally required ADA service for certified riders with disabilities. Trips are protected by ADA regulations regarding eligibility, scheduling, service hours, reasonable modifications, and trip prioritization. To learn more, please visit the Pacific Paratransit webpage: https://pacifictransit.org/pacific-paratransit/

Pacific Go (Dial-A-Ride) is Pacific Transit’s flexible public Dial-a-Ride program available to everyone. Because it is a general public service, scheduling and availability are based on vehicle and driver capacity, and trips are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis after ADA transportation needs have been accommodated.
